Abstract
|
|
The implementation of certain steps adopted by the com-
munity with particular address to fleet tonnage renewal, as well as the full
liberalization of the inland shipping market has allowed, during the last few
years, for growth rates of more than 10% to be reached by most of the
countries equipped with a developed network of waterways. The most
dynamic sectors are those pertaining to the container shipments, but also
worth mentioning are the niche sectors such as that of wastes shipments. The
fleet up-grading and diversifying processes were more than necessary, given
the contingencies of increased exigencies from the clients. |

Abstract
|
|
Activities that attract funding are extremely necessary for an
organization to function. These do not imply only requests for funds but also
an opportunity offer toward the partners. The financial crisis will be felt this
year also in the foundations budget, due to smaller sponsorships and
donations from corporations, but also de to smaller external financing from
the countries facing recession. As it is easily observed, the alternative of a
business brings advantages to a foundation by increasing the autonomy,
independence and reducing its dependency towards financers. The develop-
ment of a business implies a new structure of the foundation. In the case
where the foundation establishes a company the advantages are related to:
increased flexibility, freedom of choice of the area and nature of the
company, choosing the personnel, wider specter of financing sources and the
disadvantages are related to: decreased control, reduced intervention. |

Abstract
|
|
The role of telepathy and clairvoyance in criminology aims to
emphasize the importance of people with paranormal abilities, that can help
investigators elucidate difficult legal cases. Relying on the study Para-
normalul in criminalistica [Paranormal in Criminology] by Traian Tandin,
we counted actual cases of positive intervention of telepathy and clair-
voyance both abroad and in Romania. We also mention who would be the
people with the greatest paranormal powers. |

Abstract
|
|
In the present times in most activity domains there appear
lacks of balance and dysfunctions in the business house internal environment,
in its own synergy, consequence to economic-financial crisis manifestation.
In fact they are manifestations of the crisis within the crisis. The presence of
more widespread crisis leads to the need to their knowing, understanding,
anticipation and control by the business house management and public
relations practitioner. Looks like a simple theoretical point of view, but in
activity practice has shown that few are those that have skills and com-
petencies needed to manage and overcome such crises. While there is a
profile literature on processes for organizational crisis management and
extensive scholarship on response methodologies such apologia, image
restoration and immediate post-crisis discourse, little has been written about
the longer term post-crisis challenge beyond recovery, business resumption
and organizational learning. |

Abstract
|
|
The regulation of presumptions as evidence was required
because during a trial, facts that are difficult to be proved, or even
impossible to be proved directly, can be invoked. But, as each action is in
connection with a number of other facts and circumstances, which can be
proved directly or in an easier way, it was accepted that proving the latter
might lead to drawing the necessary conclusions about the former. Article
1191 of the Civil Code defines presumptions as "the consequences that the
law or the magistrate draws of a known fact to an unknown fact". |

Abstract
|
|
The burial of deceased persons in confessional cemeteries,
either in those of the ROC, or in those belonging to other cults, gives rise to
legal issues (the nature of the right on tombs and funerary monuments,
abandoned assets, religious freedom, etc.), moral issues (the respect for the
human body after death), religious and social issues (the issue of burial of
persons belonging to other cults, in parish and monastic cemeteries of the
Orthodox cult). Clarifying all these issues has both scientific and practical
interest, given that this area of study is relatively little known to the public. |

Abstract
|
|
The persistent of cycles was remarked even by the 19th
century economists and the rigorous theory of fluctuation or business cycle is
taken from the past century. In the analyses dynamics macroeconomic area it
can be observed that a big variety of research methods and techniques
fluctuates from economy and financial date. A complex way to evidence the
economic cycles is to determine limits cycles of the dynamical system,
which models the economic phenomenon. In this study we approach the
cyclic evolution of a firms capital by a model of economic dynamics. |

Abstract
|
|
Quality is all powerful companies in the world overriding
factor for success and for their continued development. In this respect
companies must track and comply with standards recognized internationally.
Implementation of quality standards, environmental and occupational health
and safety is a process that adds value to the management of any company.
Implementing an integrated management system within a company gives the
guarantee that time, money and other resources of the organization are used
effectively. As increasingly more organizations wish to implement the three
standards at the same time, they have a high degree of compatibility. In this
sense, practical ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is the result translations
"quality philosophy" of ISO 9001 on environmental management and
occupational health and safety. |

Economic development plan of Constanta Metropolitan Area
is intended to encourage both, local companies and foreign ones to invest in
this area without risking in the future to restrict the activity of its proximity
to residential areas or the incidence of other environmental rules. In the
future metropolitan development associations can also be a department that
promotes investment in the area and to maintain contact and relationships
with potential investors, while fulfilling the role in popularizing the oppor-
tunities, resources and potential areas both nationally and at internationally. |

Abstract
|
|
Wealth provides another dimension of well-being. Two
persons who have the same income may not be as well off if one of them has
more wealth. If one person owns his home, for example, and the other
person does not, then he is better off. Wealth is the stuff that people own.
The main items are their homes, other real estate, any small businesses they
own, liquid assets like savings accounts, CDs and money market funds,
bonds, other securities, stocks, and the cash surrender value of any life
insurance they have. From that, they subtract debts. The main debt is
mortgage debt on their homes. Other kinds of debt include consumer loans,
auto debt and the like. That difference is referred to as net worth, or just
wealth. Wealth - strictly financial savings - provides security to individuals
in the event of sickness, job loss or marital separation. Assets provide a kind
of safety blanket that people can rely on in case their income gets interrupted.
This paper illustrates the impact of a wealth tax on different national
economies. It presents aspects of criticism which were made over time to
wealth tax and the adverse effects it had on the evolution of the economic
growth. Also it presents causes and circumstances that led to the decline of
this tax on several European countries. |

Abstract
|
|
Going on strike, as a way of resolving a conflict of interests
must not be mistaken with other forms of protest allowed in a democratic
system. In social life, various revendication public actions are usually called
strikes (e.g. students go on strike, lawyers go on strike), but the right to go
on strike belongs only to people who are employed and must be dif-
ferentiated from other forms of social gathering. |

Abstract
|
|
In spite of the support of economics, the constitution of
International Work Organization sustains that "work is not ware", and be-
cause of this, work is not exposed to legal settlement regarding competition.
Market economy implies the existence of two different entities, of two social
partners as it follows: on one hand we have the patronized, representing the
capital and the employees who are organized or unorganized in unions and
on the other hand representing work force. |

Abstract
|
|
The paper investigates the evolution of unemployment economical
costs in financial crisis period. Based on information from National Institute of
Statistics (NIS), National Agency for Employment (NAE), Eurostat and in
correlation with specific literature and Romanian government decisions I make
an unemployment costs forecast. I try to reveal the fact that some of government
decisions during the crisis period aggravate the situation and do not support the
economic recovery. |
