Abstract
|
|
The mainstay of the paper is formed by an analysis of human rights as
the subjects of binding international legal obligations, the realization of human
rights, and the scope of criminal law. The results of the current study converge with
prior research on international comparative analysis among penal systems, the penal
power of the state in American legal discourse, and U.S. penal practice. |

Abstract
|
|
In this paper I am particularly interested in exploring the metaphorical
content of the experience of music, visual imagery in relationship to music, emotional
expression in music, and the representational features of music that enable listeners
to perceive emotions. The purpose of this paper is to gain a deeper understanding of
musics relationship to feeling, the inseparability of form and content in music, the
intelligibility both of musical structures and of forms of cognition, the significance
and nature of music, and the nature of musical emotions. |

Abstract
|
|
The paper generates insights about Webers organizational archetypes,
the legal-bureaucratic aspects of administration and governing, the possible positive
influences of bureaucratic organization, and the value of the ideal-type of bureau-
cracy. Our paper contributes to the literature by providing evidence on the rhetoric
of bureaucratic reforms, the pervasiveness of negative images of bureaucrats, the
logic of the bureaucratic role, and the probity and predictability of bureaucracy. |

Abstract
|
|
The theory that we shall seek to elaborate here puts considerable emphasis on Durkheims science of morality, the scope of the right to religious freedom, and the freedom to practice ones religion. Our analysis complements the growing literature on Rawlss interpretation of religion, the place of religion in the public sphere, and the relationship between human rights and religious arguments. |

Abstract
|
|
Our paper contributes to the literature by providing evidence on the
relationship between religion and politics in the liberal polity, the regulation of par-
ticular religious practices, the role of religion in the liberal polity, and the political
implications of religious pluralism. The findings of this study have implications for
the role of ethics and religion in guiding the political conduct of citizens in demo-
cratic societies, the constitutional treatment of religion, the requirement of govern-
ment neutrality toward religion, the relationship of government and religious belief,
and religious imagery and its role in public life. |

Abstract

In this paper I am particularly interested in exploring the insurance industrys covered losses, the proper functioning of insurance schemes, the risk profile of catastrophe insurance claims, and the development of a catastrophic risk insurance market. The overall results provide strong evidence for the insurance industrys
financial power, the concept of insurability, the interplay between climate change and
the insurance industry, and the role of the government vis-a-vis the private sector in
catastrophe insurance markets. |

Abstract
|
|
The purpose of this paper is to gain a deeper understanding of har-
monization and legitimation of the plurality of legal regimes in play under current conditions, Habermass assessment of global terrorism, and the spread of supra-national and privatized layered and segmented legal regimes. This paper seeks to fill a gap in the current literature by examining the scope of constitutional equality, the dynamic between particularism and universalism in the context of constitutionalism
and constitutional ordering, and the construction of a global constitutional order. |

Abstract

The mainstay of the paper is formed by an analysis of the mechanisms
that lead to tax aversion, the measurement of tax morale, Switzerlands refusal to
cooperate in countering tax evasion, and the moral wrongfulness of tax evasion. The
results of the current study converge with prior research on negative correlations
between the level of tax morale and the size of the shadow economy, citizens will-
ingness to pay taxes, and tax morale as a crucial determinant of taxpaying behavior. |
